Abolition Bill Filed in Alabama
Representative Ernie Yarbrough filed HB518 on April 3rd. The bill has been assigned to the Health Committee chaired by Paul Lee, who, according to the Foundation to Abolish Abortion, “holds the unilateral power to decide if the bill will receive a hearing”. Missouri Abolition Bill Heard in Committee
On April 15th, Missouri’s abolition bills (HB1072 and HB1417). were heard in the House Children and Families Committee. The Foundation to Abolish Abortion covered the hearing here. Upcoming Events
April 24th – The founding chapter of Students for Abolition is hosting a day of activism at East Tennessee State University followed by an evening lecture given by Abolitionists Rising’s T. Russell Hunter. Tickets for the lecture are free but attendees are asked to register here.
April 24th-26th – Love of Truth Ministries is hosting their 7th annual conference and mission. Those interested in attending need to register by April 13th
April 29th – End Abortion Alabama is hosting an event at First Presbyterian Church in Prattville from 6:00-8:00pm. Speakers include Zac Conover, Bradley Pierce, Paul Abbott II, Pastor Alan Bledsoe, and bill sponsor Ernie Yarbrough.
July 11th-13th – Golden State Abolitionists are hosting their first gathering at Liberty Baptist Church in Norwalk, CA. More details to come.
